Educator Workshop: Imagining New Futures Through Art

Friday April 18

Other dates...

9:00 AM  –  4:00 PM

Explore how modern art can open space for imagining new futures in this workshop featuring Kosice: Intergalactic. How does an artist contend with the present to imagine new possibilities?

Participate in a guided tour of Intergalactic to explore the artist’s experimental vision including Hydrospatial City, “a revolutionary floating city that would free humanity from social regulation and environmental degradation.” Listen to an interdisciplinary panel discuss the role of art, science, engineering, and technology in addressing contemporary challenges to imagine communities of the future. Then, create your own future-looking work of art alongside PAMM Teaching Artists.

All K-12 educators, including teachers and paraprofessionals, museum professionals, and other informal educators are welcome to attend. Light breakfast, lunch, and free parking will be provided for all participants. For updates to any workshop details, please check pamm.org/events. For more information or any questions, email education@pamm.org.

Please RSVP to our event, even if you have registered on Frontline.

Open to all interested formal and informal educators. M-DCPS teachers who register on Frontline are eligible for 7 Master Plan Points.
